Case Studies

18th June 2010

I was hired by a client, as there was a stupid, offensive, anonymous and untrue forum post about him that called him a rascist. This post was made in 2006 on the site http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Soc/soc.culture.greek/2006-05/ , and still ranked number one for his name. It was affecting his reputation, and also his income.

I created some new sites optimised for his name, and started a link building campaign for many of the positive sites that were already ranking, as well as some of my new sites.

29th June 2010

The offending site was still at number one. The domain it is on is PR5, and has 2m backlinks reported by Yahoo, so it was a challenge.

30th June 2010

The offending site fell from number one to number 18, and the client was extremely happy.

1st July 2010

The offending site fell even further to number 28

Note that results are not always so fast or so dramatic. My actual goal is to get it somewhere on page 2, so that could be number 11, and frustrated at the lack of movement, I marshalled all the resources at my disposal, hence the dramatic result.

Example (2)

I did some SEO work for a chiropractor Greg Sher, who was overjoyed with my work for the keyword phrase “London chiropractor”, and gave me the following testimonial:

“Thoroughly professional, hardworking, and very dedicated. Moved my website position up 84 places, and I am thoroughly delighted with his contribution to my website optimisation.

Nothing was too much of a task, and Keith was very thoughtful and innovative in his marketing methods.

I would highly recommend Keith.”

Example (3)

I also did some SEO work for http://www.uktonercartridges.co.uk and got a site promoting him to number one in Google for the search term “Samsung ml-1640”
